Your Source for Self Defense Training, Information and Products

With the ever increasing reports of physical attacks on people of all ages, it is past time for heightened awareness and vigilance on everyone’s part when it comes to personal safety.
Self Defense Training
The first step to be taken by everyone is to stay focused and aware of your surroundings. People today are easily distracted by so many things. How often do you see people walking around  with their full attention on their phone? It seems that everyone is reading or writing email or text messages all the time. This lack of attention to our surroundings can present a very real danger to our personal safety and well being.

We will be addressing three areas of self defense training and personal safety:

Self Defense Training and Classes

Personal Defense Techniques and Weapons

Personal Safety and Defense Disciplines

Self Defense Training for Women We will review products that provide tips and information to help you, and your family, stay safe in this ever more dangerous world.

We will do our best have everything you need to stay informed and provide security and safety for yourself and everyone around you. Code Amber’s new focus is to move from reaction to prevention in the area of personal safety.

In addition to products you can carry with you, there are several different ways you can train to give you a physical and psychological edge in case you ever find yourself in a dangerous, life threatening situation. One of the newest disciplines to come on the scene is Kava Maga, which is an area of Martial Arts for personal self defense. We will also have products and reviews on Mixed Martial Arts or MMA, which is a hugely popular area although it is primarily known for fighting, is it also a very effective personal self defense  discipline.

Defense Issues for Women

We’ve all heard of sprays like mace brand products. It is safe to say that not as many of us are familiar with bear pepper spray. Yes, there are techniques and products designed to protect us from a not-so-friendly Yogi Bear who may want more than our “pickanick” basket. These liquid products deter bears from attacking us without causing any harm to the creatures. Anyone who spends time in the woods or has woodland areas near the home may find this type of product a smart purchase.  Did you know that bear spray is also very effective against people? Absolutely! It’s also very easy to find.

More Self Defense Techniques and Weapons

Bear spray is safe and humane for both animals and humans. Each can delivers a spraying range of up to 30 feet and empties in about 5.4 seconds. The trigger is fast and convenient to use and a separately available nylon holster serves as a storage compartment to prevent damage to the can. The holster secures to a belt loop, allowing the individual to take this self defense product when traveling into the woods on a hike or while camping, or just around the neighborhood or town.

You should also take the time to familiarize yourself with the Laws in your area. Self defense is a God given right but there are limits so know the law.

has the amber alert ticker I have had on my web pages for ten years gone to a commercial enterprise of some sort and not the original intent of the alert system?????

    • CodeAmber

Hi Bob, Code Amber published Amber Alerts for over 12 years. We were not the “Amber Alert System”. The system is run by the states, and now several other countries as well. We are now focused on personal safety issues with the goal of prevention rather than recovery. Thank you, Bryant

Thank you for your response and the info regarding CodeAmber. I always thought it was a great idea to have the amber alert service available to individual websites for broadcasting this information via your ticker. Sorry to see it go.
