AMBER Alert Canceled for 17 Month Old Ohio Girl

The State of Ohio canceled the Amber Alert Friday afternoon (07-24) after the suspect turned herself and the child in to the Morrow County Sheriff's Office. The child is safe and the suspect is being taken into custody.

The State of Ohio issued the Amber Alert on Friday afternoon (07-24) after the girl was reportedly abducted in Marengo earlier in the afternoon. The suspect is described as suicidal and bi-polar. THe suspect may be armed and has made threats to kill the child. Marengo is approximately 40 miles north of Columbus.

Kaia R. Bracy a 17 month old white female, 2 feet tall, weighing 25 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white shorts, a pink top and no shoes.

The suspect is Melody Collins, a 23 year old white female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing hospital scrubs.

The suspect vehicle is a gray Chevrolet Trailblazer with an Ohio license plate.
